Hi everyone, here’s a little sneak preview into new work brewing for this Winter’s ArtistsOpenHouses: exploring traditional methods such as ink and egg tempera applied on reverse glass, this year I have chosen seraphims, which have been painted on glass on Romanian religious icons for centuries, and lablouseroumaine, inspired by Matisse, as another subject noding to my Romanian roots.

This technique of reverseglasspainting, with its delicate layering and luminous effects, combines historical craftsmanship with contemporary inspiration, the pieces reflecting a deep connection to time-honoured artistry while offering a fresh perspective.
